According to Microsoft, Windows 11 also has several performance improvements as compared to Windows 10 and the new update will have more power efficiency while 40 percent smaller updates will run in the background. Windows 11 has a completely redesigned layout as the position for the Start menu, new icons, themes have changed, with softer visuals from earlier. The rollout will 'focus on quality,' as Microsoft expects to complete the Windows 11 upgrade to all eligible devices by the mid-next year. The upgrade rollout plan is still being finalized, but for most devices already in use today, we expect it to be ready sometime in early 2022.
The Windows 11 rollout will be in a phased manner as older systems will get it after the latest devices in the international markets would have received the update, Microsoft said in a new blog. If your existing Windows 10 PC is running Windows 10 20H1 or later and meets the minimum hardware specifications it will be able to upgrade to Windows 11. The tech giant said that Windows 11 will come as a free upgrade for Windows 10 users in eligible PCs while the priority will be for the supported devices that have been launched recently. Microsoft will release Windows 11 to supported PCs on October 5, nearly four months after its announcement of the same.
